If you're like most of the other laptop users, you probably got Windows Vista on your new PC or laptop. And if you're like 99% of the population, you would have buyed your new machine from one of the major manufacturers. Dell, Acer, HP, Toshiba, Lenovo, they all have one thing in common: they don't give you a real Windows Vista installation disc with your purchase. Instead, they bundle what they call a "recovery disc" (that's if you're lucky - otherwise you'll have a recovery partition instead) with your machine and leave it at that.

It doesn't matter that you just paid a thousand dollars for a machine that comes with a valid Windows Vista license - your computer manufacturer just don't want to spend the money (or perhaps take on the responsibility) of giving you a Windows Vista installation DVD to accompany your expensive purchase.

The problem is, with Windows Vista, the installation media serves more than one purpose. It's not just a way to get Windows installed, it's also the only way of recovering a borked installation. The Windows Vista DVD has a "recovery center" that provides you with the option of recovering your system via automated recovery (searches for problems and attempts to fix them automatically), rolling-back to a system restore point, recovering a full PC backup, or accessing a command-line recovery console for advanced recovery purposes.

Microsoft seems to have realized this problem, and have thankfully made a recovery disc for this purpose. It contains the contents of the Windows Vista DVD's "recovery center," as we've come to refer to it. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and just serves as a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, one could re-create this installation media with freely-downloadable media from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK kit, a multi-gigabyte download); but it's damn-decent of Microsoft to make this available to Windows' users who might not be capable of creating such a thing on their own.

This is a guide about using BlogSync

So I got tired of re-writing my blog posts on wordpress here on blogger but then I found this tool though it hasn't worked for me please tell me if it works for you or not. Here is how to use :-

Step One :-

Download from here
Unzip
Open

Window user run .bat file
Mac/UNIX users run .sh file

Step Two :-

Open account settings
Fill the details
Click import post from Wordpress
Check the posts you want
Now just import them using the import button

Done

[Guide]How to share PC internet with iPhone/iPod over wifi

Many of the people who would read this post might think that it is a process through which you can use your mobile internet (EDGE/3G) on your PC but actually it is the opposite. This guide post will show how to share your PC internet with your iPhone/iPod over wifi. This can come in handy when you don't have wireless avaliable to you.

Step One :- (On PC*)

1. Open Start Menu
2. Click on Connect To
3. Click on Setup a Connection or Network
4. Set up a Wireless Ad-hoc Connection
5. Network

Name : SpiritOracle Net
Sharing Security Type : No Authentication (Open)

6. Connect to the SpiritOracle Net
7. You are done here !

Step Two :- (On PC*) ( THIS STAGE CAN BE DONE AFTER STAGE FOUR)

1. Open Network and Sharing Center
2. Click View Status on the Ad-hoc Connection
3. Click on Properties
4. Click on the Networking tab
5. Click on the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)
6. Click on the Properties tab
7. Set the IP address to : 10.0.0.1
8. Set the Subnet mask to : 255.0.0.0
9.You are done here !

Step Three :- (On PC*)

1. Download the following software http://portswigger.net/suite/burpsuite_v1.1.zip
2. Click on the Proxy tab
3. Click on the Setting tab
4. Uncheck the following :-

Loopback interface only
Intercept if

5.Click on the intercept tab
6.Turn the intercepter on
7.Always run this application when sharing the internet
8.You are done here !

Step Four:- (On the iPhone/iPod Touch)

1.Open Wifi settings (Found in Settings)
2.Select SpiritOracle Net
3.Select Press the Blue arrow to configure it
4.Use the following settings :-

IP address : 10.0.0.2
Subnet Mask : 255.0.0.0
Leave the rest of the stuff

5.Goto HTTP Proxy
6.Choose Manual
7.Use the following settings :-

Sever : 10.0.0.1
Subnet Mask : 255.0.0.0

Step Five:- (On the iPhone)

1.Now Save the settings
2.And open Safari and chose Apple to start Browsing

FINISH !

But note that this will only work on 1.1.1/2 & all 2.0 versions but on 1.1.3/4 you will only be able to use it with the original Applications and the Installer application make sure to turn on the Join Known Networks option in the Wifi settings on iPhone/iPod Touch.
